Seth-- Alas I now longer live in Reno, though if I did I would be up for a thomas creek trip. It's a neat but tiny creek close to town and I'd recommend it for a pretty relaxed day of fishing.

I just fished it last night catch about 6 brook but they were to small so I threw them back then I catch a leopard trout I ended up keeping that because for one I never saw it before and two because it was a nice size one.

it gets pretty thick and brambly in there, but its a lot of fun

That is a great little creek. I used to work at the Galena park and I would fish it all the time. I don't know how high up you went but email me and I'll put you on a "hidden stretch" of stream in that area.
