Maybe this accounts for the lack of really big fish on Saturday?

yeah quite possibly-- That spike was probably responsible for the turbidity-- I bet it's looking great now though--

Wish I had the time to try it...

cheers

The river is still quite low. Spent all morning fishing with my brother who caught his first Truckee River brown... female: 18 inches! He had a pink/green/white rooster tail lure on. The fish was at the tail end of a run right before the run changes to a pool, deep slower water right after the fast water slowed down a bit if that makes any sense. We were fishing a long stretch below the new whitewater park in Sparks, beautiful day... good times!

Hey Brian...I was wondering if you would post the blind auction flyer for the rod that Mikey donated. You might recognize the fly patch in the picture.

I fished down there the day before, the water was still off and I had my doubts, but it fished surprisingly well all day. That spike after the rain really mucked it up, the wading was nasty with the silt on all the rocks.
Too bad the rivers been fluctuated so much over the past week, they cut the flow outta Boca(it's super scary low) and they're bumped em up to 100 out of prosser. When I was at Gilligan's house on Sunday you could see the white on all the rocks, the flow in Hirschdale is probably 180 something... it's scary. They're not even making the Farad Minimum.

Yeah I drove by the river on my way to work this morning and there's a few spots that looked almost like disconnected pools... wtf...
